About Drama Kids International

Drama Kids is the exclusive U.S. provider of the Helen O'Grady Children's Drama Program, the most popular after-school drama program in the world. More than 45,000 students currently attend the program at 1,000 locations throughout 15 countries across the United States,  Australia, Asia, and Europe. This award-winning program has been internationally recognized for its creative drama curriculum and teaching methods which incorporate both process drama and performance drama methods to make sure every student is fully involved in a fun and fast paced dramatic arts setting.  Skills developed through dramatic arts education include speaking skills, acting skills, creative problem solving, teamwork, leadership, confidence development and self esteem.  Literacy skills relating to reading, writing, and listening are also developed through dramatic arts participation.

Drama Kids International began expanding across the United States in 2001 and has rapidly grown to be the leading national provider of children's dramatic arts education, under the guidance of it’s President, Doug Howard a former executive of Sylvan Learning Centers, and Nancy Soon, VP of Operations, who previously oversaw the successful roll out of the Helen O’Grady program throughout southeast Asia.

 Drama Kids provides unique teaching techniques, curriculum, and fun props combined with well-trained teachers to ensure that the program stays at the cutting edge of children’s drama.  Part of its rapid success can be attributed to its comprehensive training program for local Drama Kids Directors and Teachers, along with a sophisticated, resource-rich, interactive intranet that provides them with ongoing, online training and support, product information and marketing tools to help them expand Drama Kids programs. From its Preschool Workshops for tiny ones, to its noted DKI Acting Academy for teenagers and young adults,  Drama Kids students are able to reach the heights of their true potential through participation in a very unique, and world class dramatic arts program.  At Drama Kids, the difference is truly DRAMATIC.
