Pam Kornfeld is the owner and director of Drama Kids of Oakland County, Michigan. Her favorite part of the week is when she is teaching Drama Kids classes! Pam has been involved in some aspect of theatre since age nine and has had years of teaching in both school and summer camp environments. She left her staff position in West Bloomfield High School’s Theatre Arts Department to launch Drama Kids and it has been a dream come true!
Danny Harris Kornfeld
Danny is a New York City based actor who has worked both in NYC and across the country performing in shows, concerts and workshops. He is currently starring as Marc Cohen in the 20th Anniversary Tour of RENT. Danny is a proud graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Musical Theatre. He is excited that a program like Drama Kids exists in his hometown and wishes he could have been enrolled as a student!
Katy fell in love with acting when she was five years old and has been performing ever since. A past member of several professional and community theater groups in New York, she is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her passion for the arts with all of her Drama Kids! Off stage she and her husband are busy raising two Drama Kids of thier own!
Shardai has been involved in theater, music and dance since she was a child. She studied theater and music at Henry Ford College and has a BS from Eastern Michigan University with a concentration in Theater and Music. Shardai can be seen touring around Michigan in the JET Outreach Youth Theatre Shows.
Louise started teaching with Drama Kids and is pleased to be taking on the role of Assistant Director. Louise has worked in Youth Theatre for the last 15 years. She produced Youth Theatre at The Community House in Birmingham for seven seasons. She has also worked for over twelve summers at the Roeper Summer Stock Theatre Camp. She also has spent years as a volunteer Drama Mama while her children participated in many School and Community Theatre productions.
Katarina has been on stage since she was two and a half years old and is very excited to be using her skills to help her students shine! She is currently pursuing Secondary Education certification along with an English degree and Speech minor at the University of Michigan Dearborn. As a long-time speech and debate student, she is thrilled to be able to help kids find and use their voices.
Sarah is a long time teacher and performer in the Metro Detroit area. Sarah currently attends Wayne State University’s theatre program and is also a graduate of the Early Childhood Education program at Oakland Community College. Sarah believes that the creativity found in youth is unique, and deserves a place to flourish. In her free time, Sarah can be found strumming her guitar, at rehearsal, or spending time with her two dogs.
Coffey”has been acting for 13 years. Some of her favorite roles including Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet in Hamlet and Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She has worked with many theater companies across the Midwest. Catherine is currently a graduate student at Eastern Michigan University where she is earning her Masters in Theatre. She is excited to be part of the Drama Kids staff!
