She also works at THE EVENT in Orlando three times a year, where she gets to coach children on the audition process right before they actually audition for casting directors and agents from across the nation. Christie Reiersen
Drama Kids Teacher
Christie Reiersen is a recent transplant from New York City, where she spent the last ten years acting, directing and organizing workshops for children. She has a B.A. in theatre from Northeast Louisiana University and an M.F.A in acting from the University of Arkansas. In between getting her degrees and becoming a mother of two adorable boys, she has toured with children’s theatre in Minnesota, taught youth theatre camps in Arkansas and directed children’s play festivals in New York City. After pounding the pavement as a working actor, she took a break to get married, have children and run a ceramics studio. Now she is thrilled to be back to one of her true passions of helping kids reach their potential through imagination, play and the arts.
