TAKE 2 Performance Classes are held weekly and are IN-PERSON classes (not on-line). This is a performance done DRAMA KIDS style. Our students are still our #1 focus. We focus on BUILDING CONFIDENCE; NOT on the SHOWS! No pressure. No auditions. No singing or dancing experience required.

Does my child have to enroll for the full-year and why?

Drama Kids is a skill-based program focusing on building our students’ confidence, not focused on building SHOWS. We do not require nerve-wracking auditions because we assess our students in our weekly skill classes. Just as in sports, we require skill-building before the season of games. Athletes are not given uniforms, put into positions, and thrown into games. Coaches require time to assess each player’s skill level and ability to determine which position they might play. Furthermore, they need to get to know & mesh with their new teammates each season. Same with the DK program. We are unable to cast students without building the necessary skills, establishing a solid cohesiveness with the cast, and properly assessing each student’s ability. Therefore, participation in spring performances requires students to participate in the developmental & progressing skill classes leading up to the performance.

Our TAKE 2 classes are designed for students who desire to gain additional performance experience. In this program, students will rehearse for two hours, one day a week. Rehearsals will conclude in a professionally produced theatrical production.

To enroll in this season’s Take 2 Musical Theatre Academy, students MUST already be enrolled in a Creative Drama or Acting Academy skill class at any of our in-school or community locations.

Our skill classes are a CRUCIAL component to the success of this performance (as this is where the foundation is laid). Unfortunately, no exceptions will be made. TAKE 2 allows our enrolled Drama Kids students to expand their acting skills and gain additional performance experience.

Take 2 Musical Academy (1st-6th)

WINTER/SPRING SEASON $395 OR 5 installments of $79: Jan 15th, Feb 15th, March 15th, April 15th, & May 15th.
12 weekly 1.5-hour classes, 1 dress rehearsal class, and 2 final performances in May 2023 (tentatively between May 2nd – 6th. PLEASE NOTE: could be a Saturday, May 6th performance date!)
• There MAY be 1 or 2 extended classes which would run from 6-8:00 PM in March/April. Dates will be sent well in advance.
Tickets sales OR an “in lieu of ticket sale” contribution will be required. TBD
Please note this is the same pricing as our regular one-hour DK classes. This class tuition is based on 1.5 hours.
