Welcome to Drama Kids of Mountain Brook, Homewood, Vestavia Hills, and Hoover!
Partnered with schools and community locations, our program focuses on developing life skills of students ages 4-17, through a highly stimulating and creative theatre arts program. Confidence, self-esteem, creative thinking, and public speaking skills are just a few of the many benefits to enrolling your child in Drama Kids. For more details about our program, please give us a call!
Our local director, Meredith Dubberly, has had a flair for the dramatic from an early age. Originally from Montgomery, AL, Meredith was an active participant in the Performing Arts Department of Saint James School, as well as local productions at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. She was awarded a full scholarship to Birmingham-Southern College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical Theatre.
By applying the communication skills and creativity that she refined through a background in theatre, Meredith found success in customer service and marketing. When the opportunity to join Drama Kids International arose at the beginning of this year, she jumped at the chance to bring the program to the Birmingham area. In today’s society, our children are faced with the constant pressure to conform. Drama Kids provides an outlet for self-expression and encourages kids to celebrate their differences in a positive, supportive environment. Meredith feels truly blessed to have the opportunity to share her passion for theatre arts in an educational capacity that makes a difference in the lives of children. Her goal is to empower each student to reach his or her full potential!
