Laura Bevier is the proud owner and director of Drama Kids Metro Detroit West, where her deep corporate experience meets her lifelong passion for youth development and the performing arts. With over 16 years of leadership in Human Resources, Business Development, and Project Management, with most of it spent at the nation\u2019s largest childcare organization, Laura is a seasoned professional who thrives on solving complex challenges and leading meaningful change.<\/span><\/p>\n

Launching Drama Kids is the perfect intersection of Laura\u2019s personal and professional journeys. It\u2019s a dream come true: an opportunity to empower children with confidence, creativity, and communication skills that will serve them for life. She believes drama education is a powerful catalyst for self-expression and personal growth, and she\u2019s excited to bring this dynamic, developmentally focused program to families across her community\u2014helping young people shine both on stage and beyond. Because the most important role we will ever play is ourselves.<\/p>\n

Laura was a college mascot, so she dominates creative expression without words games. She lives in the Northville community with her husband and 2 children.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Sarahfay is a passionate teaching artist who loves helping kids build confidence through drama. She holds a BFA in Theatre and Business Administration from Siena Heights University and has worked with children of all ages in classrooms, camps, and touring theatre productions. Sarahfay creates fun, welcoming classes where kids can explore creativity, teamwork, and self-expression while feeling supported and encouraged to shine. She\u2019s excited to be part of the Drama Kids team and can\u2019t wait to share the joy of drama with your child!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Whitney is an actor, writer, and producer from Detroit. After earning a PR degree from Morgan State where she was a D1 shooting guard, Theatre Morgan student and performer, she trained with The Scott Acting Conservatory in New York as well as with Roz Coleman, working Off-Broadway, and in Film, TV, and Scripted Audio in addition to developing her own projects. Whitney has experience teaching and mentoring children of all age groups and loves helping young people tap into their creativity.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Becky brings a decade of experience as a dedicated teacher to our drama club. For ten years, she has cherished the incredible journey of watching children’s confidence blossom in\u00a0her classroom. Becky believes that drama is not just about acting; it’s about having fun, fostering essential empathy skills, sharpening problem-solving abilities, and developing clear, articulate speech. She’s passionate about creating a supportive and exciting environment where every child can shine, grow, and discover their unique voice on and off the stage!\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Jenny Knoll<\/span><\/h2>\n

Drama Teacher<\/span><\/h3>\n

Jenny Knoll is a mother of three who has been a drama teacher for over thirty years. She was in her first commercial (for diapers) at four months old but started her formal training in London, England at the University of Sussex where she majored in theater. She received her Bachelor\u2019s degree from Eastern Illinois University and also did post-graduate studies in Education at Cleveland State University.<\/span>
<\/span>
Since then she has performed in and directed plays ranging from British pantomime to Shakespeare, and has worked with children of all ages, from preschoolers to high school students, in four different states -but her favorite age group remains her elementary students!<\/span>
<\/span>
She has a friendly and approachable manner and has always been extremely passionate about arts education and how important and impactful it can be for every child!<\/span>
<\/span>
For the past ten years Miss Knoll has worked as a house manager at the Village Theater in Canton, where she is the director of their children\u2019s summer theater intensive program. Miss Knoll plays several musical instruments, and her favorites are piano and percussion!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Noah Askew is an actor and teacher from the Metro Detroit area. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication, Media, and Theatre Arts from Eastern Michigan\u00a0University. Noah has worked in multiple academic settings, either working on stage or behind the scenes helping students hone in their skills and build up their confidence. With a focus on spreading kindness and positivity in the classroom, Noah is very excited to be teaching students about art and play with Drama Kids!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Misty Foster attended the University of South Florida, where she earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Theatre Arts and Humanities. She spent years volunteering in local community theatre before beginning her professional career in the Tampa Bay area.<\/span>
In Florida, Misty has experience working on both the performance side of theatre along with children’s programs and camps.<\/span>
With over a decade of theatre experience Misty is delighted to have found a new theatre home with Drama Kids and looks forward to sharing her passion and experience with the next generation.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Ms. Jenna is a teacher and stage manager from Florida who has been working in the theatre industry for nearly 10 years. After graduating with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Technical Theatre- Stage Management, Jenna worked as an Entertainment Manager at SeaWorld Orlando, where she did everything from firework shows to Sesame Street parades. Jenna grew up working with her local theatre’s education department and is thrilled to be back teaching with Drama Kids, where she can share her passion for the arts with students.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
