Emily Mattice Roll

Senior Drama & Acting Instructor

Spending most of her time as “Miss Emily”, she is a working artist, instructor, and business owner out of “Adventures & Art” in Caledonia. Adventures & Art Center for Creativity continues to develop after she started offering a single art club for kids when she was 14 years old. After seeing how Drama Kid’s programs aligned with her mission to support the community’s well-being with creative activities for children, she jumped in as a Drama Kids Instructor in 2015. Emily’s passion drives her to continue offering outstanding children’s programs in the community. While many of her hobbies align with her business, outside of work Emily enjoys spending time with family, gardening, and “adventuring” with her husband.

Danielle Fellows

Lead Drama & Acting Teacher

It is no doubt that Miss Danielle’s classes fill so quickly! She brings the perfect mix of expertise, kindness, and creativity to her Drama Kids classes and has been teaching the Drama Kids curriculum for over 10 years! While in high school, Danielle was an active member of the Irondequoit HS Drama Club and went on to receive her BFA in Acting from SUNY College at Fredonia. She received further honors in Drama and Theatre Studies at Middlesex University in London, England, where she met her British husband Luke Fellows, also a Drama Kids Summer Camp Instructor. Danielle resides in Webster, with Luke and their two daughters both of who are enthusiastic Drama Kids themselves!

Lead Drama & Acting Teacher Andrea

Andrea Fragnito

Lead Drama & Acting Teacher

Andrea has been nurturing children for over 20 years. She has been a music teacher/director at Lima Christian School, the Lockport City Schools, and the Greece Central Schools. Andrea has her BS in Music Education from Roberts Wesleyan College and her Master of Music in Education from University of Buffalo. Andrea has taught Italian through Greece Continuing Education for over 11 years and all levels of Drama Kids for over 10 years. She provides group and private music instruction in piano and voice, as well as directing theatrical musicals for home-school groups. Andrea resides in Rochester with her husband Dean and her teenage daughter, while her son attends college.

Patricia Mongell

Senior Drama & Acting Teacher

Miss Patricia began her tenure as a Drama Kids teacher in 2012. She specializes in Upper Primary and Acting Academy classes. She has an M.S in English Education and has taught English, ESL, drama and speech in New York and overseas. Patricia has directed students from kindergarten through adult. She is a playwright and has appeared on stage and TV. In addition, she teaches English and citizenship to adult refugees. Patricia has fostered 34 dogs and lives with her tripod, Helen, and her small emergency backup dog, Punk.

Senior Drama & Acting Teacher Melissa

Melissa Newcomb

Senior Drama & Acting Teacher

Melissa has brought energy and passion for developing children to Drama Kids since 2013. She is currently a Senior Instructor and served in the role of Assistant Director from 2018-2020. She was formerly a Professional Development Coordinator for URMC, where she designed and delivered education to medical professionals. Melissa has taught religious education, was a summer camp counselor and has been a performer since age 5. Melissa directed Russell Sage College productions, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Biopsychology. After moving to Rochester, Melissa received her Master’s in Business Administration from Medaille College. She is currently the Director of a local daycare center and resides in Fairport with her husband, Dan, and their two young sons – both enthusiastic Drama Kids!

Drama & Acting Teacher Donnell

Donnell Adler

Drama & Acting Teacher

Donnell brings energy, creativity, and a great deal of professional experience to her Drama Kids classes. Donnell is an actress, singer, presenter and voice over artist. She has worked in film, television, commercials industrials and theatre as well as studying at the Juilliard School. It has been her honor and her joy to teach worldwide for more than a decade.

 

Drama & Acting Teacher Amy

Amy Canfield

Drama & Acting Teacher

As a Drama Kids Instructor, Amy is able to combine her theater expertise and with her love for education! Amy’s career as a theatre instructor started back in 1984, as a teaching assistant for a summer drama theatre camp. She has been a teacher and/or theatre artist continuously since then. She has taught theatre courses at the University of Missouri-Columbia, The Ohio State University, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, RIT, Genesee Community Colleges, and SUNY Geneseo. She holds an MA and Ph.D. in Theatre and an MS in Adolescent Education. Her teaching certifications are in Theatre, ELA, and Students with Disabilities. She is currently teaching English in the Rush-Henrietta School District. Amy can regularly be seen on stage in Rochester–most often with Shakespeare Players and The Kingfisher Theater.

Michelle Chapman

Drama & Acting Teacher

Michelle brings a strong value for excellence and a highly relational approach to the Drama Kids administrative team. She has experience teaching art and drama to school-age children and loves to help young people develop confidence through creativity and artistic expression. Michelle earned her B.A. in Studio Art/Psychology from SUNY Geneseo and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in social work. She lives in the HFL area with her husband, Tim, and their two children, Samuel and Gabrielle.

 

Drama & Acting Teacher Tina

Tina Crandall-Gommell

Drama & Acting Teacher

Tina’s passion is making theatre education accessible to all children. She has a B.A. in Theatre and Dance and a master’s degree in K-8 education. She is the founder of MT Ed, which offers classes in acting, voice, and dance and provides performance opportunities for students of all ages. She has directed and choreographed for many area theatres and schools and also works as a freelance scenic designer. Tina is an adjudicator for RBTL’s Stars of Tomorrow, a program dedicated to supporting the process of growth and learning and acknowledging excellence in area high school theatre. She also sits on the board of Neighborhood Acting Company. In her free time, she occasionally appears on stage.

Luke Fellows

Drama & Acting Teacher

Luke instructs our Acting Academy Summer Studio alongside his wife Danielle. Together they help young budding actors take their performing arts skills to the next level! He appreciates the inclusivity of the Acting Academy Program and the creativity it encourages for young developing actors. Luke earned his undergraduate degree in Drama and Theatre Studies from Middlesex University in London, England. He then pursued his graduate degree in Curriculum Development at SUNY Albany. Luke has been teaching drama for the Rochester Central School District since 2007 and lives in Webster with his family.

 

Drama & Acting Teacher Kaci

Kaci Gallucci

Drama & Acting Teacher

Kaci was very active in the drama and music department in middle and high school. She also participated in the Drama Kids Acting Academy classes from age 11 to 16. From there, Kaci became an intern with Drama kids of Rochester where she discovered her love for working with children and helping them learn and grow. Kaci became a Drama Kids instructor in 2017 at the age of 19. She is currently attending Rochester Institute of Technology for 3D Design and is planning on getting a degree in education in the future.

Miss Andie strives to bring enthusiasm and empathy to her Drama Kids classes every week. The success of her daughter’s involvement in Drama Kids, coupled with her own love of storytelling, led Andie to her current role as a Drama Kids Instructor. Andie spent several years focusing on her family before joining the Drama Kids team. Prior to the birth of her second child, she worked in the business sector. She lives in Irondequoit with her husband, daughter, son and shi tzu.

Greetings! My name is Bill Schoff. This is my fourth year as a Drama Kids instructor. I’ve recently retired from the Webster Central School District after teaching there for 30 years. For twenty-seven of those years I taught second grade and the other three years I taught fourth grade. In addition to teaching I enjoy writing, especially humorous children’s poetry. I have had four books of my works published and I am currently working on my fifth book. I am looking forward to being a part of the Drama Kids program again this year.
