Shannon Sievert
Director
Hello! My name is Shannon Sievert and I am THRILLED to be taking on the role of Director for Drama Kids International of Tucson. I have my A.A.S in Theater & Entertainment Technology from Okaloosa Walton College, and my B.A. in Theater from Florida State University. While attending FSU, I was honored to be a member of the prestigious Flying High Circus.
I have been performing in some capacity for 28 years and have loved every minute of it! My dance training spans across all genres including ballet, lyrical, jazz, modern, hip hop, tap, and musical theater. I have 10+ years of vocal training and have sung with multiple award-winning choirs. I currently sing with the R.E.D Band, which was created to raise money to send care packages to Airman deployed from Davis-Monthan AFB. On the technical side of things, I have worked as a ground rigger, head lighting technician, lighting designer, and sound designer/engineer. I have also dabbled in costuming and scenic design. I have extensive directing and choreography experience with both children and adults. Regardless of whether I’m on stage or behind the scenes, I love seeing a show come to life!
From an early age, I knew I wanted to teach theater and instill a passion for the performing arts in others. I have been fortunate enough to teach musical theater, vocal performance, acting, improv, and circus arts to students ranging from 4-20 years old. Becoming a part of the Drama Kids family has allowed me to continue sharing my love for theater while teaching invaluable skills to today’s youth. I love spending time with my students and watching them grow! When I’m not working you can find me sewing, cooking & baking, gardening, binge-watching Harry Potter, or spending time with my husband, son, and our three dogs.

In addition to performing at THMS, Alex is a regular cast member at the Roadrunner Community Theater in their Family Series. She looks forward to beginning her journey toward achieving a Bachelors of Fine Arts next year. Alex loves sharing her passion and excitement for theater with our Drama Kids students!
Hi, I’m Makayla Campbell and I’m originally from Wisconsin now I’m in Arizona! I’ve been involved in theatre since sixth grade. I’ve been a cast member in Winnie The Pooh, Alice In Wonderland, Willy Wonka, Into The Woods, and my favorite, Hairspray. I started teaching theatre during my sophomore year of high school and I’ve been teaching theatre since. I love seeing students develop as time progresses and it’s amazing being around their energy. When I’m not teaching, I’m writing songs or shopping for more clothes with my friends. I’m very excited to begin my journey with Drama Kids International of Tucson.
Hello my name is Stephanie Landes and I am currently working on my masters in Expressive Arts Therapy. I am drawn to the field of drama because it is an embodied experience that allows us to grow and develop our sense of self and connection with others. Working at Drama Kids is a dream come true. I love improv and I have a background in teaching children art after spending over two years abroad in China. A fun fact is my grandma was in the original Oklahoma cast on Broadway and had her own acting school in New York for 25 years. I am excited to continue her legacy and to inspire more children to transform into their full selves through the arts.
Santana Perez
Teacher
Hi! My name is Santana Perez and I am a U of A graduate with a B.A. in Theatre Arts. My college program provided a well-rounded theatre education and experience. For four years, I took part in various projects involving dramaturgy, playwriting, acting, and design. I have also taught children and managed leadership teams in kid’s ministry for years. I love being a facilitator of a fun and safe space for kids to be themselves! I believe theatre is a powerful way to inspire confidence and encourage one to share their individual voice and work together as an ensemble to tell stories that help us grow in compassion and awareness. I am excited to be on board with Drama Kids, channeling my passion for youth, education, and theatre into everyday moments with kids in the greater Tucson communities.”

I have also worked as a stage manager at the Gaslight Theater. When I’m not teaching, I can be found crafting (knitting is my favorite), programming, cuddling with my dog Oscar, or reading.
