Sam Finger
Owner & Director
Sam Finger is an emerging artist from Telluride, Co, and a proud graduate of Cornish College of the Arts, 2021, with a BFA in Acting and Original Works.
Sam has always been passionate about uplifting and inspiring children to find their voices and confidence through performing arts. She believes theatre has a certain magic to bring out every person’s inner light. Sam has mentored kids, worked as a ski coach for young children, and led a very creative and excellent “dream” program working with underrepresented kids. As an artist, she is driven to tell stories of those who often feel marginalized or overshadowed through her playwriting. She believes theatre should allow the unseen to be seen, represented, and celebrated. She aims to story-tell with authenticity and an open heart as an actor. Some of her roles include Agnes in “She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms” directed by Sophie Franco (Cornish College), Amy March, River Sister, and Caroline Bingley in “You on the Moors Now” directed by Kate Myre (Cornish College,) ensemble in “Savage/Love” directed by Dina Janis (Bennington College) and Chorus in “Trojan Woman” directed by Sheila Daniels (Cornish College). She has attended three summer intensives at Perry Mansfield Performing Arts School. Her new play, “The Smallest Wolves,” was selected in the 2021 “New Play Festival” season at Cornish.
Sam is thrilled to introduce Drama Kids to Telluride and the surrounding areas. She hopes this program will help inspire kids and instill the confidence they need to go through the world with strength, ease, kindness, and a willingness to try new things!
