Every child should be given the space to explore what it’s like to be a frog acting as a paramedic trying to save a dying wizard while in a snowstorm on the moon! Drama Kids of Greenville County creates safe places for our kids to step away from their screens and out of their comfort zones to experience life on the moon or the death of a wizard in a blizzard. Our award-winning curriculum promotes literacy, emotional regulation, self-confidence, public speaking, collaboration, and leadership skills through the magic and conventions of theatrical play. Our teachers are intentional as they offer specific compliments and constructive criticism to every child in every class. Our weekly after-school enrichment classes are one hour in length during the academic school year, and we offer full and half-day summer camps when school gets out for summer.

Our kids need to abandon technology and embrace their imagination and that’s exactly what they do when they join our program. We encourage our kids to play, dream, and speak with abandon so that they not only find their own voice – but know when and how to use it appropriately. Does your kid intend to be a scientist? A mathematician? A rocket scientist? An engineer? A marine biologist? A chemist? A doctor? A librarian? A landscaper? A health practitioner? Drama Kids can help get them there!

Lea Seaton holds a B.F.A. with a Specialty in Acting/Directing from Texas Tech University. A Texan native, Lea moved here with her family in 2015, and fell in love with Greenville’s art scene. Lea has acted professionally across the country in regional theatres, and has also taught creative dramatics for children in various communities throughout Texas. She is delighted to bring Drama Kids to Greenville County and is eager to serve this community!
