Thomas is excited about being part of the “teaching staff”. Thomas has been singing and acting since he was 6 years old. He graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, with a Minor in Theater.
Melissa, is the proud mother of 8-year-old Devin Deschenes. Melissa has appeared in various movies and television shows as a background actor and has rediscovered her passion for acting. Drama Kids is the next step in her planned career change from Austin Community College where she studied marketing and business. When Melissa found out about our Drama Kids program. She liked that we focused on building confidence, speaking and creative thinking skills. She knew it was the ideal match for her talents. Melissa wants to use her experience to help our young Drama Kids.
Keanu is excited about joining our Drama Kids teaching staff. With six years of theatre experience, including directing short films, he is already making a difference in helping students.
Hey Y’all! I am Ms.Jay and this is my 3rd year teaching Drama Kids. I am 30 years old with two awesome kids and I am also about to be married! Drama Kids has brought out my love and passion for theater and has given me the opportunity to share that love with kids enrolled in the program. I have 7 years’ experience in theater, 4 years in dance, and 4 years singing. I can’t wait to teach your kids!
What can I say? Drama Kids Rock!! I’m thrilled to be part of the team. My name is Tami Kai and I am full of 40 years of theatre experience as a creative educator/artistic director and even technical direction and design. My passion runs deep when sharing the wonders of the art of theatre with our youth. Believe in make believe it’s what feeds our souls.
Angelique has had a passion for theatre since she was just a little girl. She spends her free time creating art in any way possible with her 8-year-old daughter Bella. Together they are both grateful and excited to be a part of the Drama Kids family. Angelique hopes to inspire her students to find comfort in expressing themselves creatively while learning the importance of teamwork.
Hunter Baker was president of the thespian society at Southside High School in 2012. He continued his studies at Texas State University where he trained in acting for a year and a half under Lauren Lane and Jeremy Torres. Currently, He is continuing his training in acting and directing at Palo Alto College. By introducing today’s youth to the fine arts, Hunter hopes to make an impact at Drama Kids International by inciting passion and inspiring young artists to be brave, fail forward, and swim against the current. He would like to thank everyone that has guided him on his journey so far, and he invites others to embrace individuality and respect hard work.
Alysyn Andrews is a passionate and driven storyteller with ten years of theater experience and four years of film experience. She has a BA in Dramatic Media from TLU with specializations in directing and acting. She is a two-time winner of the 48-Hour Film Project in San Antonio and Austin and a Filmapalooza participant. She loves to garden and hang out with her cats in her free time! Alysyn is excited to be part of the Drama Kids teaching staff!
Christopher is excited about joining Drama Kids as a teacher. He has a strong goal to change the perspective of kids to make them fearless of social pressure and public speaking. With a B.A in Acting Performance and Production he plans to do just that and more.
