Acting Academy

Drama & Acting Classes for Grades 6–12

Exclusively designed for middle and high school students, this advanced drama class offers a wide range of higher‑level activities for teens and tweens. Students are encouraged to express themselves freely and collaborate in a safe, supportive environment led by experienced instructors. The course promotes self‑expression, communication, and creative thinking through an in‑depth exploration of acting fundamentals such as vocal techniques, dramatic movement, and improvisation. Students also dive into more advanced skills, including script analysis, character development, and physicality, to refine and elevate their craft. Join us and experience it all the Drama Kids way.

Overview

Every Drama Kids class provides a nurturing space where teens can express their creativity, build confidence, and strengthen valuable speaking skills. Led by highly trained instructors, our lessons are both fun and deeply developmental, offering new challenges and fresh material throughout the year. With programs offered in local schools, community centers, and nearby locations, Drama Kids of Stafford & Spotsylvania is an ideal place for students to continue—or begin—their dramatic journey.

We encourage families to speak with school administrators about bringing our Acting Academy drama, theater, and acting classes to their campus. Students can also join one of our community‑based programs open to the public. Imagination takes center stage in our Acting Academy classes, providing an advanced drama experience that helps teens expand their speaking skills, creative expression, and confidence. With new activities and scenes introduced regularly, students stay engaged, motivated, and excited to participate.

Acting Academy classes run for the full school year and conclude with an end‑of‑year showcase presentation that celebrates each student’s growth and achievements.
