Attending the Drama Kids Owner Conference was nothing short of inspiring. As a 25 year old teaching in our local franchise alongside joining the Drama Kids office as marketing coordinator, I was excited to see what life looked like through the lense of all the owners across the country. This experience offered me so much more than I ever anticipated—from invaluable learning sessions to heartfelt connections with like-minded individuals who share the same mission of empowering children.
From the moment I walked into the conference, I could feel the energy and enthusiasm in the air. This wasn’t just a gathering of people; it was a community united by a common purpose—to make a positive impact on children’s lives through drama and self-expression. As someone relatively new to this world, I was both excited and a little nervous. However, those feelings of uncertainty quickly melted away as I met owners who welcomed me with open arms and shared their wisdom and experiences.
The sessions at the conference were nothing short of transformative. Each session was designed to not only deepen our understanding of Drama Kids’ mission but also equip us with practical tools and strategies to bring out the best in our students. From learning innovative teaching techniques to understanding how to better engage with parents and communities, every presentation was packed with value.
One session that particularly stood out to me was our round-table session. Hearing everyone share their experiences and ask their questions reinforced my belief that what we do goes beyond teaching lines and staging performances—we’re helping shape confident, capable individuals who are ready to take on the world.
Beyond the sessions, what truly made this conference unforgettable was the people. I had the privilege of meeting so many incredible individuals who were all at different stages in their Drama Kids journey. Each conversation I had felt like an exchange of ideas, stories, and encouragement. Hearing about the challenges others had faced and how they overcame them was not only enlightening but also deeply motivating. These were people who understood the joys and struggles of this work, and their passion was infectious.
Attending this conference wasn’t just about professional development; it was also about personal growth. I left feeling not only more equipped but also more inspired to continue this journey. The knowledge I gained, the friendships I built, and the shared passion I witnessed have all fueled my excitement for what lies ahead.
Conference was a place to learn, grow, and connect with others who share your passion. It reminded me of why I started this journey in the first place. Most importantly, it’s a place where you’ll find inspiration in abundance—and that’s something we can all use more of.
