Thank you to Drama Kids veteran teacher, Staci Sabarsky, such this wonderful piece:
At the end of the school year, we asked the students for their favorite games and activities since the class started and reenacted as many as we could.
It was a great reminder of the growth we’ve seen since the beginning of the year. Not only has their comfort level improved, but so has their confidence, enabling them to try new things and perform in front of their peers.
We’ve focused on so many skills since the beginning of the school year that it’s difficult to know where to begin.
A review of our WOW’s (words of the week) might be a good place to start.

It’s amazing to me how easily students of all ages can grasp these concepts and begin including them into their acting. There are many people that could benefit by focusing on these skills. Seriously, wouldn’t the world be a better place if… people focused on group goals, could express themselves clearly, knew who they were, weren’t afraid to show their emotions either physically or verbally, were brave enough to act spontaneously, tapped into their creative side, understood why they make the choices they do, spoke freely using their entire body to express themselves, and showed a wide range of emotions through their voice? I think it would. I may be biased, but I would much rather deal with an open, confident person who can express themselves, rather than trying to guess what someone is thinking or feeling. The latter takes too much energy and often leads to misunderstanding or confusion.
I am thankful that you’ve enrolled your children in our classes and put your trust in Drama Kids. We are teaching the next generation of leaders. All of us at Drama Kids want to thank you for understanding the value of drama because I truly believe what we teach has value and can have a significant positive impact on your child’s future.
