Full-Year Curriculum Overview:
Drama Kids classes are built to allow children to grow from class to class. Curriculum is developmental and progressive!
Weeks 1-12: Basic Acting Skills: acting tools body, voice, & imagination, building trust, collaboration (working together as an ensemble), speaking skills, spatial awareness, and much more.
Weeks 13-22: Performance Skills: blocking, building characterization, improvisation, reacting, developing expression & stage projection.
Week 23-Last day of Class: Collaborative activities that include group scenes, group improvisations, and more. Preparing students for their Parent Participation Day that is held the second to last week of class.
Does my child have to enroll for the full year and why?
Drama Kids is a skills-based program focusing on building our student’s confidence through interactive and developmental drama activities. While it is not required that your child commit to the full year and students can join a skills class at any time throughout the year, it is strongly suggested that they attend as many classes as they can throughout the year! This is because our community classes perform a Spring Presentation in May and in order to give their best and be fully prepared, students need to build the necessary skills that can only be learned in the classes leading up to the rehearsals. Registration will close for these classes on the first day of Spring Break.

Creative Junk Therapy Space: 772 W. Lumsden Rd. Brandon 33511
South Brandon Community Location Classes are open to students attending any school. Our supplemental “Take 2” Performance Academy class takes place after these classes in this location. The “Take 2” Performance class will conclude with students performing a full musical production and is open to all students enrolled in any Creative Drama or Acting Academy class
Brandon Junior Take 2 Performance Academy

Grades 3-8. The Junior Take 2 Performance Academy is an exciting program for children to explore the world of performing arts. This engaging program seamlessly integrates drama and music, encouraging students to express themselves creatively. Through hands-on experiences, children develop vital skills like confidence, effective communication, and collaboration. Our skilled instructors lead students in speech training, acting techniques, and choreography, molding well-rounded young performers. Take 2 Performance Academy is more than just putting on a show; it's about discovering unique talents and building self-esteem through theatre.

Drama Kids offers classes directly on the school campus at Cimino Elementary in the multipurpose room immediately following dismissal. Students should be picked up promptly in the car loop at the end of class unless arrangements have been made to send them to HOST.
Lithia Springs Elementary
4332 Lynx Paw Trail, Valrico, FL 33596
Drama Kids offers classes directly on the school campus at Lithia Springs Elementary immediately following dismissal. Students will meet in the multi-purpose room on the stage after school. Students should be picked up in the bus loop promptly at the conclusion of class unless after-school arrangements have been made. If your child attends BMS or Kids R Kids, you MUST fill out our Waiver Form.
Barrington Middle

Drama Kids offers classes directly on the school campus at Barrington Middle School in the cafeteria immediately following dismissal. Students should be picked up in the car loop promptly at the conclusion of class unless arrangements have been made to send them to HOST.
