I have had a love of theater and drama since I was a child and became involved in drama during junior and high school. Being a very introverted and shy child, those experiences impressed upon me how the right program can make a difference in a child’s life. Pursuing a career in the business world I saw how the ability to speak and act confidently could help launch a person’s career. Having 4 young grandchildren and watching them experience the arts, as well as participating in various other activities, I’ve decide to follow two of my passions – Drama and Children!
Having been in the corporate business world for over 20 years, I am very excited I’ve found a way to interact with children and families in this new, creative challenge! As parents to a daughter in high school, my husband and I have seen firsthand the positive effects arts have had on my daughter’s life while watching her prepare for class presentations and college interviews. I have volunteered in various roles at my daughter’s schools throughout the years and coached her Odyssey of the Mind teams. She is the reason I was inspired to provide these opportunities to other children to gain confidence and set the stage for a lifetime of success.
