Welcome to Drama Kids of Northwest Florida
Check out Drama Kids NEW locations this fall!
Due to COVID-19, there will be no in-school classes this semester. To fill the gap, we are adding several new classes at Young Philosophers Society in the Santa Rosa Mall, Yoga Junkie Studio in Niceville, The Ballet Conservatory in Destin and Niceville, Inspire Ballet in Valparaiso and Atlas Karate in Crestview. We have classes during the day, after school, and in the evening to cater to whatever educational choices you have made for your family. We also have Drama Kids Online options. If you can’t find the class you are looking for, check back because new classes are being added weekly.
How Drama Kids is making the safety of our students and teachers a priority:
All instructors will wear face shields/masks at all times. Students will have their temperature checked before entering Drama Kids classes each week. Parents must wait in their car while we are checking temperatures. Hand sanitizer will be available to kids before and throughout every class. If your child or anyone in your family has shown symptoms of illness or tested positive for Covid-19, please do not send your child to class. If your child does not attend class due to COVID -19 please contact Drama Kids by text or email and you will be credited for the absence.
Meet our owner:
Our director is Alissa Clifton. Alissa is the mother of 8 and spent the last 30 years raising them, volunteering at their schools, chaperoning, serving on the Student Advisory Council, and judging speech, debate, and dramatic competitions. She also spent several years running her own children’s party business. Alissa’s love of drama started at a young age when her father cast her in a church play and continued through high school as she participated in drama classes, performances, and competitions. As an adult, she has been involved in community performances throughout the years as a performer as well as writer and director. She is excited to share that passion through the Drama Kids program!
Alissa, also known as “Drama Mama”, took over the Northwest Florida Drama Kids program in 2014. Alissa is passionate about boosting confidence in children through the magic of drama! She believes all children can benefit from Drama Kids and the fabulous curriculum. Not only does Drama Kids help build wonderful acting skills, but it also teaches children how to work well cooperatively toward an end goal. They also get so many wonderful opportunities in our Drama Kids classes to express themselves creatively and speak up clearly and confidently. These skills transfer over into their daily life at home and at school.
